About Pacific Grappler

Pacific Grappler was established in 2015 by owner and head instructor Joe Davis.  It was originally started as a grappling apparel  brand.  Joe wanted to create a brand that captured and supported the grappling community in the Pacific and Asia Pacific regions.  Later 2022 Pacific Grappler Dojo was established. 

Joe is a Marine Veteran who has been living in Okinawa for over 20 years.  He is a 3rd degree black belt and has been training in Kodokan Judo for over 30 years.  His Judo experience began in the Pacific Northwest which has a rich history of Judo.  In 2014, he began his Jiu Jitsu practice and was promoted to black belt in 2021.  

PG Dojo's mission is to provide competition and recreational Judo/BJJ opportunities for the community.  The gym focuses on three styles of grappling:  Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), and NoGi (Submission Grappling).
